SAFTA 1964 by Chef Alon Shaya, from Pomegranate Hospitality was an exciting, limited-run celebrity-chef residency at Wynn Las Vegas during 2024. This playful iteration of Safta, which translates to “grandmother” in Hebrew, celebrates Grandma’s fictional heyday, before she became a “safta.” Picture her dressed to the nines, complete with her signature red lipstick, driving her white 1964 Thunderbird convertible west, and toasting the town. She’s the magnetic life of the party, sipping martinis, and running the blackjack table.
